Terms of use
These terms cover your use of what's true?, the hosted public alpha at true.krnl.studio. KRNL runs it. KRNL is the studio behind krnl.studio. By creating a workspace or using what's true?, you agree to these terms and to how the privacy policy says your data is handled.
Who may use it
what's true? is for teams that keep public docs for their products. You may use it if you can agree to these terms. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm that you may agree to them for that organisation, and "you" then includes the organisation.
During the alpha, sign-up may be limited to people who are invited.
Your account
You sign in with your KRNL account. Keep it secure, and write to team@krnl.studio if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account, for the product tokens your workspace creates, and for the agents and CI that use them. A token acts for one product and cannot approve a change: approval is a person's.
Your content
Your workspace's content, your docs and the data what's true? reads from your repositories stay yours. You let KRNL process them only to run what's true? for you: to store them, check them, show them to your workspace, and send what the service needs to GitHub and, if you link it, to KRNL OS. The privacy policy says what that includes.
You are responsible for your content, and for having the right to connect the repositories and data you connect. The docs you publish, and the decisions to approve them, are yours.
What what's true? is, and is not
what's true? checks docs for drift and risky specifics, and records who approved each change. It does not call an AI model and does not write content. It is not legal advice and it is not legal review. A clean check does not mean a doc is accurate, complete or lawful. Have your legal pages reviewed by a qualified adviser.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- attack, probe or overload the service, or try to get round its access controls or its limits;
- use another person's account or tokens, or leave your tokens where others can find them;
- connect repositories, or process other people's data, without the right to do so;
- use what's true? to break the law or to harm others.
The alpha
what's true? is a public alpha. It is offered as it is, and it may change, break or stop. Features, limits and data formats may change without notice. We make no promise that it will be available.
The alpha has limits on workspaces, products, members, docs and use. The product shows them, and they may change. There is no charge for the alpha.
Keep your docs in your repository. what's true? reads them there and does not replace it.
Suspension and ending
You may stop using what's true? when you choose. To leave, export what you need, delete your workspaces and uninstall the GitHub App.
We may suspend or end your access, or a workspace, if it breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or if the law requires it. We may also end the alpha. When access ends, the sections on your content, warranties and liability still apply.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, what's true? is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes any warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose, accurate, secure or free of errors, or that it will find each problem in your docs.
Limited liability
To the extent the law allows, KRNL is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising from your use of the alpha or from being unable to use it. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that the law does not allow to be limited or excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when this version took effect. When you create a workspace, what's true? records which version of these terms and of the privacy policy you accepted. If you keep using what's true? after a new version takes effect, that version applies to you. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the service.
